Which level is right?

Youth · community

Minor baseball associations and Little League programs, from rally cap to 18U. Register with the association for your community; most open registration in the new year for a spring season.

High school age · BCPBL

BC Premier Baseball League clubs for players of high-school age. Tryout-based, with a fall and spring schedule. Players usually keep a community registration as well.

Junior

Programs for players who have finished high school and want to keep playing competitively before or alongside college ball.

Senior · adult

Adult leagues, from recreational to competitive. Most recruit by team; the league site lists the clubs and who to contact.

What you're looking at. The directory view — one page, every association, by region, linked. These are the same 121 rows that sit behind leagues.php today, walked one by one on 18 Aug: 49 clean, 53 repaired, 5 out of date, 2 contact-only, 12 unconfirmed. One had been hijacked by a gambling site and was being served to families as a registration link.

Rocky's chip, answered. "How do I register for baseball?" is a community name and a click. No model, no round-trip, the same answer on Tuesday as on Monday. That's the whole argument in one page.

Against Alberta. Theirs: 133 associations, all linked, no dates. This: 121 associations, 108 linked, every row dated, and a row with no safe destination renders as a flag — never as a link. The date is the thing Alberta's page doesn't have.

Under the spine. Today this list is hand-audited, and it will rot again. With one Baseball BC iD, it's derived: an association exists on this page because it registered a season. No audit, never stale. That's the data layer paying for itself on page one.

What's missing on purpose. Softball (Softball BC's table). Fields and schedules (separate views). Which member body each association belongs to — BC Minor, Little League, Babe Ruth — isn't in the source; the spine would carry it as a field, and then this page could filter on it.
